Integrative Health Practitioner II
Meet Tiffani Wolfe
Hi, I’m Tiffani, founder of Lyra Functional Health, Integrative Health Practitioner, wife, mom of two girls, and someone who understands firsthand what it feels like to search for answers when your body is struggling and nobody seems to connect the dots.
My journey into health and wellness actually began in my early twenties after I started experiencing severe chronic pain and fatigue, which eventually led to a diagnosis of fibromyalgia around age 24. Like many people navigating chronic symptoms, I found myself searching for answers while trying to understand why I didn’t feel well despite being told many of my labs looked “normal.” During that time, I began learning more about thyroid health, chronic inflammation, stress, fatigue, and the deeper connections within the body. What started as a personal search for answers slowly became a lifelong passion for understanding health on a deeper level.
In 2016, my journey into functional and root-cause health deepened even further after my oldest daughter was diagnosed with developmental delays at 16 months old and later diagnosed with autism at 3½ years old. That experience completely changed the direction of my life. I began researching everything I could about health, wellness, nutrition, toxins, inflammation, and ways to better support our bodies naturally. What started with learning about low-tox living, cleaner products, and essential oils quickly turned into a deep passion for understanding how the body truly works.
Over the years, I immersed myself in learning about thyroid health, adrenal dysfunction, chronic stress, gut health, methylation, mold exposure, Epstein-Barr virus, Lyme disease, nervous system dysregulation, inflammation, and the interconnected nature of chronic symptoms. I spent countless hours reading, listening to doctors and experts, studying research, and becoming my own advocate through some of the most difficult seasons of my life.
Suddenly, two months after the birth of my youngest daughter, my health took a devastating turn. I experienced constant severe dizziness, heart palpitations, air hunger, chest pain, tremors, balance issues, fatigue, weakness, vision changes and a long list of debilitating symptoms that left me desperately searching for answers. I was so ill that I truly felt as though I would not live long, and I was determined to find answers and not allow that to happen.
During this time, I immersed myself even deeper into studying both conventional medicine and pharmaceuticals alongside functional and root cause approaches to health. I wanted to fully understand the body from every angle possible and learn how different modalities could work together to support healing and overall wellness.
At one point, I was dismissed and told it was postpartum depression, but deep down I knew something more was going on. I strongly believed Lyme disease was involved. I saw countless specialists and spent months advocating for myself while being told many things were “normal” or unexplained. Eventually, I began treating myself for Lyme disease and started seeing improvements, but I wanted confirmation. I later sought out an LLMD (Lyme literate medical doctor) who tested me for Lyme disease, and it came back positive despite previous negative testing through infectious disease specialists. I knew the earlier testing did not fully align with what I was experiencing, which is why I continued searching for answers and pursued a doctor specifically trained in this area.
In the meantime, I had already begun supporting my body through a combination of approaches, including herbal support, homeopathy, nutrition, lifestyle changes, and conventional treatment through my LLMD. While parts of my healing journey included medications and conventional medical care, the profound changes I experienced through all different modalities such as homeopathy, herbs, nutrition, nervous system support, reducing toxic burden, supplementation, and a more root cause approach to health completely changed my perspective on wellness. It strengthened my belief that true healing often requires looking at the body as a whole.
Through this journey, I not only supported my own health, but also began helping family and friends navigate chronic symptoms and lifestyle changes. Watching people regain hope, strength, and quality of life became one of the most meaningful parts of my life. I’ve helped support loved ones through complex health struggles, including my mother’s pulmonary fibrosis journey and family members dealing with Lyme, mold exposure, and other chronic symptoms that conventional approaches alone weren’t fully addressing.
In 2024, I decided to turn my passion into purpose by becoming certified through the Integrative Health Practitioner program. Today, my mission is to help support others who feel unheard, dismissed, exhausted, or overwhelmed in their health journey. My approach is not about choosing one side over another, it’s about asking deeper questions: Why is this happening in the body? What could be contributing to these symptoms? How can we support the body from multiple angles? My goal is to help clients feel empowered, educated, supported, and truly seen.
I’m especially passionate about supporting people dealing with complex health challenges. I believe healing involves more than just physical symptoms, it also includes emotional, mental, and spiritual well being. My goal is to walk alongside people with compassion, education, and hope while helping them uncover possible contributors to why they aren’t feeling their best.
Outside of health coaching, my greatest joy is my family and my sweet angel dog, Piper. My husband, daughters, and dog are my entire world. My oldest daughter, who was diagnosed with Level 2 autism, has made incredible progress over the years, and witnessing her growth has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. Seeing my youngest daughter overcome severe eczema and watching both of my girls thrive has also been an incredible blessing.
Outside of my passion for health and wellness, I also have a lifelong love for music and performing arts, which continue to be a huge part of who I am and a dream I still hope to pursue.
I love spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, exercise and fitness, long walks, gardening, sports, traveling to the Outer Banks and the mountains, enjoying good food, and laughing as much as possible. I truly believe joy, connection, movement, and balance are all important parts of living a healthy and fulfilling life.
At the heart of everything I do is one simple goal: helping people find hope, healing, answers, and support, while reminding them that they are never alone in their journey and that things truly can get better.
